please don’t go by e. salvador reminded me that every now and then, i actually do want to feel something.
this book is proof that not every romance needs morally gray men and emotional chaos to leave a mark.
this is book one in the midnight strike series and the complete opposite of what i normally pick up. it’s a sports romance, friends to lovers, and one of those books that quietly sneaks up on you until suddenly you’re way more emotionally invested than you expected.
is please don’t go worth it?
yes.
especially if you’ve been in a reading slump.
i don’t usually reach for friends to lovers.
i don’t usually choose softer romances.
and somehow this still completely worked for me.
danny and josie feel real. their relationship grows naturally, the emotions never feel forced, and by the end i was rooting for them in a way i wasn’t expecting.
