this was the book that introduced me to dark romance.

and honestly?

what an introduction.

haunting adeline is obsessive, spicy, completely unhinged, and one of those books you’ll either immediately continue… or immediately close.

is haunting adeline worth it?

if you’re the right reader.

this isn’t a book i’d recommend to everyone.

it’s dark.

it’s obsessive.

it pushes boundaries.

and that’s exactly why so many people love it.

if you’re curious about dark romance and want to know what all the hype is about, this is still one of the first books i’d point you towards.

just…

read the trigger warnings.

what to read after haunting adeline

if you want another true stalker romance, that sik luv should be next. it’s darker, more depraved, and one of the most unhinged books i’ve read.

if you’re looking for something with obsessive energy but a little more fun, pick up lights out.

and if you’re ready for another morally gray man who’ll completely ruin your standards, under your scars deserves a spot on your tbr.

final thoughts

i’ll always have a soft spot for this book.

it introduced me to dark romance.

and while i’ve read darker books since then…

i still think haunting adeline deserves every bit of the conversation around it.

just know…

book two is much darker.

almost too dark for me.

but i still devoured it.
