two people carrying more demons than they know what to do with somehow find each other anyway. what starts with stolen glances and quiet conversations turns into something impossible to ignore. the chemistry is ridiculous, the emotional connection hits hard, and watching their pasts collide with the future they're trying to build together kept me hooked the entire time. one of my favorite eva simmons books and an easy 4-star read for me.

there is just something about the "he only talks to her" trope that gets me every single time.
this is the kind of dark college romance that pulls you in slowly. he's sitting in a psychiatric ward, completely disconnected from everyone around him. he doesn't talk. he doesn't engage. he barely acknowledges the world exists.

she stays. she talks. he listens.
and the more time passes, the harder it becomes to ignore whatever is building between them.
