the tension was incredible, the humor genuinely made me laugh out loud, and the unique world kept me completely hooked. now i just need book two immediately.
verdict
this isn't the dark romantasy i expected, but it might be one of the most unique romantasy worlds i've read in a long time. the slow burn is addictive, the banter is genuinely funny, and that ending left me completely unwell.
vibe
if daggermouth and fourth wing had a baby... this is probably the closest comparison i can think of. the tension is thick enough to taste, the romance takes its time, and the humor catches you completely off guard.
