kai azer is the prince. the enforcer. the very thing she should be running from.
he knows this. she knows this. the entire kingdom knows this. and then he saves her life anyway, and then again, and then again after that, until it becomes very obvious to everyone except apparently him that he has made a decision he can’t take back.
that’s the thing about kai. he is 2/5 emotionally available on a good day. he will not tell you what he’s feeling. he will not make it easy. he will spend a considerable amount of time trying to convince himself that what he feels isn’t what it is. and then he will save your life for the fifth time and ruin everything he just told himself.
