runaway by bazookah Wattpad review: is it worth reading?
what the fuck have i been missing?
seriously.
runaway by bazookah is the book that finally got me to download wattpad… and now i’m wondering where this app has been my entire life.
if you love mafia romance, morally gray men, cult escape stories, and an mmc that will completely consume your thoughts, start here.
is runaway worth it?
yes.
i fucking loved this book. the fact that this isn’t traditionally published honestly feels criminal. apparently this has over 50 million reads.
fifty.
million.
and somehow i’d never even heard of it. nico blaine completely stole the show for me. the romance worked. the plot kept moving.
and bazookah somehow made me love the little author notes between chapters almost as much as the book itself.
more authors should absolutely be gossiping with us while we read.

spice level breakdown
spice rating: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ / 5
the spice is well written.
it’s explicit.
and it fits the relationship instead of feeling like it’s there just to be there.
this book balances the emotional moments and the spicy ones really well.

final thoughts
i still can’t get over the fact that something with millions of readers somehow completely missed me.
apparently wattpad was my blind spot.
not anymore.
if this is what i’ve been missing… i’ll happily be spending a lot more time over there.
and if you’ve somehow never read runaway?
fix that.
what to read after runaway
if nico blaine completely ruined your standards, read phantom mine immediately.
it’s one of my favorite mafia romances i’ve ever read, and matteo gives me that same “i’m completely consumed by one woman” energy.
if you’re looking for another obsessive mafia man, bad bishop should be next.
and if you want another dark romance that completely takes over your life, insatiable immediately.
