Kade Mitchell book boyfriend: Kade Mitchell

verdict

this series destroyed me.

not in a cute little "i cried once" way. i mean in the "stare at the ceiling and question my emotional wellbeing" kind of way. insatiable kicks off one of the most heartbreaking lovers to enemies to lovers stories i've read, and from the very first page you can feel the devastation simmering underneath everything.

these two don't just have history. they have wounds.

vibe

kade mitchell is obsessed with a woman he swears he hates, which is honestly one of my favorite romance dynamics when it's done well. the angst, the longing, the resentment, the years of history sitting between them... it all hurts in the best way. if you're looking for a trilogy that will absolutely wreck your emotions before putting them back together, this one deserves a spot on your tbr.

spice

🌶🌶🌶🌶 — emotional devastation and spice is apparently a very effective combination because this series delivers both.

reader fit

read this if

you love second chances, lovers to enemies to lovers, obsessive mmcs, heartbreaking angst, and romances where the emotional damage is just as important as the love story. if you want a relationship that feels messy, painful, and impossible to walk away from, this is it.

skip this if

you want a light romance or a relationship that's easy to root for from the beginning. these characters spend a lot of time hurting each other before they figure out how to heal.

content warnings

violence, murder, obsession, stalking, trauma, emotional abuse, grief, mental health struggles, and dark romance themes. definitely check trigger warnings before reading.

standalone + hea

book one in the edge of darkness trilogy. this is not a standalone, and the books do end on cliffhangers. the good news? the trilogy itself does have a happily ever after, but you're going to suffer a little getting there.

a series that will alter your brain chemisty
