this was probably the first book i thought of.
not because it is exactly like pretty little wolf.
it isn’t.
the ever king is much more romantasy, the world is bigger, and there is a lot more happening outside of the romance.
but erik?
very much the reason it belongs here.
he is powerful, dangerous, possessive, and fully capable of making one woman his entire personality.
which is really what we came for.
there are pirates, fae, sirens, enemies, revenge, and a king who starts this whole thing by literally stealing his enemy’s daughter. the ever king is also the first book in the ever seas series.

after her father kidnaps him, he escapes and takes his daughter in return, and when they finally meet again, it isn’t what either of them expected.
2. phantasma by kaylie smith
phantasma is for the readers who want to keep the paranormal feeling but make everything a little creepier?? (but in a good way, i promise.)
you get a haunted competition.
demons.
deadly trials.
and a morally gray man offering the fmc a bargain while very obviously becoming part of the problem.
so basically…
different circumstances.
but the same terrible decision to trust the hot supernatural man.
this one is darker and more gothic than pretty little wolf, and the games are a much bigger part of the story. but if you want paranormal romance with danger, spice, and a man you probably should not be listening to…

pestilence is where we start moving further away from the exact pretty little wolf vibe…
but stay with me.
because if your favorite part is an extremely powerful supernatural man becoming completely wrapped up in one woman?
it works.
the relationship starts in a significantly more hostile place.
like she tries to kill him.
he takes her captive.
romance somehow follows.
normal stuff.
this is also post-apocalyptic rather than fae/paranormal in the pretty little wolf sense, so i would pick it when you want something stranger, more intense, and much more enemies to lovers.
Pestilence

she tries to kill the horseman bringing death to the world… but when he takes her prisoner, she starts falling for the one thing she was meant to destroy.
4. the heartstring duet by liv zander
crown me dead + crown me yours
this is my pick if what you really want is another paranormal romance that feels a little strange, and you might cry (i did.)
and i mean that as a compliment.
the world is unusual.
the magic is unusual.
the men are…
a situation.
and everything is a little darker and much more spicy than pretty little wolf.
you do need to read both books, though.
crown me dead comes first, crown me yours finishes the story, and i would not separate them because you really need the entire duet for everything to make sense.

this one is giving fated mates…
but we don’t actually know yet.
which somehow makes it better.
he’s a little bit of a bully, a lot obsessed, and has that very specific kind of possessiveness where you should probably be concerned…
but instead you’re kicking your feet.
it’s not the same dynamic as callum and kat, but if the part you loved about pretty little wolf was having an mmc who is very clearly already gone for her before she fully understands what is happening, this is the one.
