i’ve read a lot of mafia romance.
some of it was incredible.
some of it made me wonder if we’d all just collectively agreed to recycle the same plot over and over again.
these five are different.
they’re the books that reminded me why i fell in love with mafia romance in the first place. the ones with obsessive men, actual chemistry, enough tension to make the spice hit harder, and stories i still think about long after i finished them.
every one of these sits at a 🌶🌶🌶🌶 for me.

this book ruined me.
matteo is one of my favorite fictional men i’ve ever read, but what really makes this book special is the yearning. every conversation feels loaded. every glance means something. the tension builds for so long that when the romance finally gives, it feels completely earned.
it’s emotional, addictive, beautifully written, and one of the few books i’ve ever given six stars.

this is the only book on this list that i will never recommend reading on its own.
